What data does Instasights use?
After you authenticate, it uses your Instagram Insights and media for the business or creator account you connect so Claude can read and reason over them. We sync all your data and transcribe videos from the last 60 days.
Do I need a business or creator account?
Yes. Instagram’s Insights are available for professional (business or creator) accounts. Personal profiles are not supported for this flow, but you can convert a personal profile to a business or creator account in Instagram’s settings in a few taps.
Do I need a paid Claude plan?
You need a Claude account that supports the skills or tooling you use with Instasights. Check Anthropic’s current documentation for your tier if you are unsure.
How do transcriptions help with hooks?
We align your Reels and other video with transcripts so opening lines and spoken hooks are plain text you can sort, tag, and compare to saves, reach, and the rest of your metrics—not just what the dashboard shows.
Does King’s Cross Labs store my Instagram login?
You authenticate with Instagram through the documented flow; credentials are not something we need on our servers for you to run the skill in your own environment. See the install guide for where tokens live on your machine.
Can I use this outside Claude?
Yes. Skills are markdown files that can be used by LLMs like Claude or other LLMs or agents.
Why does setup take a long time?
Transcriptions take the most time for your videos. If you have a lot of Reels, that can take a couple of minutes. This usually only happens during initial onboarding and setup—not every time you use Instasights.
Will this eat up my tokens and limits on Claude?
The skill runs through code, which is very efficient and should not burn through your limits. Creators who tested Instasights are on Claude Pro plans.
